Damsel, a fantasy feature from Netflix starring and exec produced by Millie Bobby Brown, is set to shoot at Troubadour Meridian Water Studios, a major new facility in north London, early next year.
Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directs Damsel from a screenplay by Wrath of the Titans writer Dan Mazeau. It centres on Princess Elodie (Brown), who thinks she is marrying Prince Henry, but is actually going to be sacrificed to a dragon…
Damsel is from Brown’s production company PCMA and Roth/Kirschenbaum Films; Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum produce. The executive producers are Brown, Roth, Chris Castaldi and writer Mazeau.
The film continues Brown’s relationship with Netflix; she is currently finishing filming Enola Holmes 2 for the streamer, in which she reprises her role of Sherlock Holmes’ teenage sister.
Troubadour Meridian Water Studios is a new complex comprising around 155,000 sq ft, including three sound stages, production hub and workshop space. It is situated in Enfield, north London.
