Perth Film Studios announce Tom Avison as new CEO

Tom Avison has been announced as the new CEO of Perth Film Studios in Western Australia.

Avison was formerly director of operations at UK's Sky Studios Elstree, which has played host to films such as Wicked, Paddington 3 and Jurassic Park: Rebirth.

Prior, Avison worked at UK studios such as 3 Mills Studios in East London and Twickenham Studios. 

Perth Studios has also announced James Grandison as business and industry development director. 

Set to open its doors in April 2026, Perth Film Studios is located 25 minutes from the international airport and will feature 4 sound stages alongside associated annex buildings – offering production offices, wardrobe, hair and makeup space, green rooms and meeting rooms.
