EUFCN and LMGI sign Memorandum of Understanding at Cannes

This agreement aims to promote broader accessibility to resources, foster professional development, and exchange knowledge between global production professionals.

The European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN) and the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Cannes Marché du Film this year. 

The MOU establishes a framework for cooperation between the two associations, and aims aims to promote broader accessibility to resources, foster professional development, and encourage the exchange of knowledge among film commissioners, location managers, and production professionals globally, with a focus on Europe and international markets.

John Rakich, president of the LMGI said, "By aligning our efforts, we aim to strengthen the connection between location professionals and European film commissions, promoting excellence, sustainability, and innovation in global location management."

Adrian A Mitchell, President of the EUFCN added, "I think both networks and members of the EUFCN and the LMGI will genuinely benefit in our pursuit of crafting the opportunities that lie ahead for local commissions and the creative eye.

"We wish to broaden the scope of awareness of the vast and spectacular European locations and contribute to a sustainable and professional partnership on all levels."
