A coalition of Hawaii-based film industry professionals has formed to combat the production slow down in the state.
The group, Hawaii Film Alliance, in part advocates for the removal of the state's tax credit caps, of are $50m annually and $17m per production which it says are "limiting growth potential".
The incentive is 22% on O‘ahu, and 27% on neighbouring Islands (Maui, Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i Island, Moloka‘i, Lānaʻi).
