The British Screen Forum and the Film and TV Charity have partnered with the University of Glasgow for an online feedback platform to help tackle UK screen sector challenges and improve working conditions.

With funding from the BFI Research and Statistics Fund, the University of Glasgow’s spin-off research company Design Otherwise has developed the platform, WorkTakes, where UK film and TV industry workers, executives and stakeholders can share their views, to help build practical recommendations for improving working practices and to ensure the sector remains competitive and inclusive.

The initiative aims to tackle critical industry challenges, including supporting talent retention, informing policy and establishing industry standards, identifying leadership training needs and building a shared understanding of what ‘good work’ looks like.

Further partners on the initiative include Bectu, Pact and ScreenSkills.
