Filming is gearing up on Alex Garland’s live-action feature Elden Ring for A24.

Production is reportedly taking place on location across the UK, including Scotland. A24 declined Screen’s request for comment.

Kit Connor, Cailee Spaeny and Ben Whishaw are starring in the adaptation of the popular video game which was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki with “world building” from Game Of Thrones author George RR Martin, who is executive producing the film.

Plot details remain under wraps but the game is set in the “Lands Between” where characters go on a quest to repair the Elden Ring and become the new Elden Lord. Nick Offerman has also reportedly joined the cast.

A24 is producing Elden Ring alongside the UK’s DNA Films and video game company Bandai Namco Entertainment. Garland also wrote the screenplay.
