UK shoot under way on ‘A Visit To Grandpa's', Catherine Zeta-Jones joins cast

Catherine Zeta-Jones has joined the cast of DJ Caruso’s A Visit To Grandpa’s, with the UK shoot underway in Wales, and UK sales agent WestEnd Films selling at Cannes.

Zeta-Jones joins Anthony Hopkins, with Aneurin Barnard, Artie Wilkinson-Hunt, Geraldine James and Aimee-Ffion Edwards rounding out the cast.

The shoot started earlier this month.

UK producers are Huw Penallt Jones with Hannah Leader and Amory Leader. The film is a co-production with Italy’s Adler Entertainment and Belgium’s U-Media.

Inspired by Welsh poet and author Dylan Thomas’ short story of the same name, the film follows a young boy sent to spend one summer with his charismatic and wildly eccentric grandfather on a remote Welsh farm. Expecting dull days and strict rules, the boy instead stumbles into a world of chaos and imagination.
