Florence Pugh will star in and produce an adaptation of Matt Haig’s best-selling book The Midnight Library, with Australian Lion filmmaker Garth Davis attached to direct.
Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin of the UK’s Blueprint Pictures will produce with Anita Overland and Pugh. Olivier-winning playwrights Laura Wade and Nick Payne have written the script.
A shoot is set to taking place in 2027 in London, the Cotsowlds and other locations across Europe.
Studiocanal is launching world sales at Cannes and will release theatrically in UK-Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Benelux, Australia and New Zealand.
The book follows a woman who, after attempting suicide, ends up in a limbo library, between life and death.
