The locations team on Project Hail Mary were among the winners at the second annual UK Location Manager Awards 2026, unveiled on October 17.
Camilla Stephenson and her team won the Screen Manchester Location Team award for their work on Project Hail Mary, which shot in multiple locations throughout the UK including Cambridge and Dorset.
The awards took place at the Concorde Conference Centre at Manchester Airport and were hosted by actor Shaun Williamson.
Further winners included Drew Payne, who won the Neil Grigson Unit Manager award for his work on The Thursday Murder Club. The Andrew Bainbridge Lifetime Achievement award was presented to Matthew Winter whose credits include Tenet, Now You See Me 2 and the Robert Egger’s upcoming film Werwulf.
“Location professionals are at the very heart of film and television production, yet so much of their extraordinary work they do goes unrecognised,” event chair Georgette Turner said.
“These awards were created to change that. We wanted to build something that truly belongs to our industry, an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication, resilience, creativity and sheer hard work of the people who make the seemingly impossible possible every single day.”
