The Production Guild of Great Britain‘s (PGGB) Sustainability Committee has announced a third edition of Sustainability Behind the Lens, a free-to-attend open day for film and TV industry professionals.
The event is open to PGGB members and non-members, where screen-sector workers can meet and network with green technology suppliers, in association with Global Production Award-winning Garden Studios.
The full-day event will take place on Wednesday 11 June (11am – 4pm) at Garden Studios in London.
Sustainability Behind the Lens will see a range of eco-friendly suppliers demonstrate and discuss new technologies at the forefront of sustainability within the film and TV industry, as it moves towards the goal of cleaning up sets, reducing the impact of greenhouse gas emissions, and protecting the health of crews.
Companies already confirmed to participate include Onbio Ltd, Geopura Ltd, The Generator Project, Albert, CAMA Asset Store and more.
PGGB’s Sustainability Committee is headed up by Amelia Price, whose aim to make UK production more sustainable and cost effective, was a key driver in creating the event.
Garden Studios recently won the 2025 Global Production Award for Sustainability Initiative at the Cannes Film Festival, and has achieved B Corp certification and a ‘Very Good’ rating in the 2025 Albert Studio Sustainability Standard.
Last year’s event was attended by more than 300 PGGB members, business partners and industry colleagues, along with 20 eco-friendly suppliers.
The PGGB Sustainability Committee was established in 2023, serving as a central hub for agreements, development and advice on sustainable filmmaking initiatives across the film and TV landscape. Key resources include the Sustainable Production Toolkit, a regularly updated open-source set of documents initially created by NBCUniversal.
