New Regency names Tesha Crawford EVP, head of international television

Mr. & Mrs. Smith production company New Regency has named Tesha Crawford executive vice president, head of international television, overseeing the company’s expanding global television slate and lead its international development and production strategy.

Based in the UK, Crawford will report to New Regency chairman and CEO Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann, president of motion pictures and television.

New Regency's upcoming feature projects including Blood Meridian, based on Cormac McCarthy’s novel, written by Penny Dreadful writer John Logan and directed by The Road's John Hillcoat; and Watch Dogs, an adaptation of Ubisoft’s video game franchise starring Tom Blyth and Sophie Wilde.

Recent feature titles include Steve McQueen’s Blitz for Apple TV+ and The Bikeriders for Focus Features. New Regency’s television projects include Mr. & Mrs. Smith for Prime Video, a Malcolm in the Middle limited series for Disney, and Man on Fire, based on New Regency's film for Netflix.

Crawford most recently served as senior vice president of global scripted series at Universal International Studios. Previously, she helped launch Netflix's International Originals team (now Local Language Originals). In her most recent role in London, she managed global franchises including The Witcher and Millarworld.

She began her career in feature film development at Focus Features, Indian Paintbrush, and Disney, and held her first executive position at The Weinstein Company’s London office. Crawford also held development roles at Superb Entertainment and Marvel Television, contributing to series such as Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Luke Cage. She
