‘Star Wars: Starfighter' begins production in UK

Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter has begun production in the UK for Lucasfilm, with Amy Adams and Aaron Pierre joining the cast.

Also set to star alongside the previously announced Ryan Gosling are Flynn Gray, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, and Daniel Ings.

The film is a new standalone adventure described as “an entirely original story set in a period of time never before explored in Star Wars”. The script is by Jonathan Tropper.

Star Wars: Starfighter will be released theatrically on May 28, 2027.

Levy said: “I feel a profound sense of excitement and honor as we begin production on Star Wars: Starfighter.
