Paramount's ‘Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol' starring Johnny Depp filming in UK

Production is underway in the UK on Paramount Pictures’  Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol starring Johnny Depp as Scrooge.

Ti West is directing the Charles Dickens adaptation which is now filming in London.

Andrea Riseborough, Ian McKellen, Tramell Tillman, Sam Claflin, Rupert Grint and Daisy Ridley also star in the film.

Emma Watts is producing with Stephen Deuters, Jason Forman, Adam Bohling and David Reid serving as executive producers. 

Nathaniel Halpern wrote the screenplay which is adapted from Dickens’ novella about a miserable businessman who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve and encouraged to set the error of his ways.

Paramount is scheduled to release Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol on November 13, 2026. 

Warner Bros is also developing an adaptation of A Christmas Carol with director Robert Eggers and reportedly starring Willem Dafoe.
