Christophe Pinard-Legry has been appointed CEO of Canal+ Europe, expanding his current role as CEO of Canal+ France in charge of business activities.

He will oversee the group’s subsidiaries and coordinate all of Canal+’s activities in Europe. The appointment also sees Pinard-Legry join the Canal+ management board chaired by Maxime Saada.

Canal+ Europe currently operates in 10 European countries and 11 overseas territories and has over 18 million subscribers. It comprises Canal+ France, co-led by Pinard-Legry and Gérald-Brice Viret, in addition to Canal+ Overseas, Canal+ Benelux and Central Europe, and Canal+ Poland.

Pinard-Legry first joined Canal+ in 2016 as commercial director for France and has had several key roles along the way in marketing, commercial and customer service after a career that spanned roles at SFR Business and the E. Leclerc Group.

He joins the group’s management board alongside Canal+ Africa and Multichoice CEO David Mignot, CEO of Studiocanal and deputy CEO Anna Marsh, Canal+ CFO Amandine Ferré, and Viret.

The appointment is the latest in a series of moves from the European media giant that continues to reinforce its European-centric management structure and global expansion across several continents.
