Los Angeles-based Stories International and Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) have entered into a partnership to adapt TBS’ programs for English-speaking and international audiences.
Under this partnership, Stories International and TBS will select approximately 40 drama IPs from TBS’s catalogue to be remade. The partnership will combine these narratives with Hollywood production standards and seeks to captivate a broader audience.
As the primary producer, Stories International - which also has offices in Tokyo - will spearhead the development. Stories International will cultivate a collaborative approach in attracting showrunners, producers, and industry leaders to the various series.
TBS is a 69-year-old Japanese television network known for producing over 500 acclaimed TV dramas as well as unscripted shows.
