Netflix has debuted a first look teaser of its first Japanese-South Korean co-production, Romantics Anonymous, based on the French film Les Émotifs anonymes.
Sho Tsukikawa of Yu Yu Hakusho directs the series. The screenplay is by Kim Ji Hyun with Yoshikazu Okada. Cinematography is by Kosuke Yamada. Lee Ha Jun and Yang Jin Mo, both of whom worked on Parasite, serve as production designer and editor respectively. Toru Mori is line producer, gaffer is Yoshimi Watabe, sound recordist is Fumihiko Yanagiya, and set decorator is Daijiro Koyama; music is by Dalpalan.
Producers are Kim Yong Eun, Choi Gi Young, Kim-Keum Sil; Takuro Nagai, and Mao Osaki of Yong Film and Ryu Film respectively. Syd Lim executive produces.

The story follows the budding relationship between a man and a woman sparked by their mutual love for chocolate, each of whom lives with an anxiety disorder. Shun Oguri plays Sosuke Fujiwara, a germaphobe who does not like touchig people, and Han Hyo-Joo as Hana Lee, who is unable to make eye-contact.
To their surprise, she finds herself able to look Sosuke in the eyes, while he doesn’t recoil from touching her. What follows is a charming, slow-burn exploration of their day-to-day interactions, as the two gradually and sweetly begin to grow close to each other.
They are joined by Jin Akanishi as Hiro, Sosuke's best friend; and Yuri Nakamura as Irene, Hana's counsellor who also happens to be Sosuke's friend. Further cast includes Ryo Narita as Takashi Fujiwara, Sosuke’s supportive cousin, Ayumi Ito as Motomi Kawamura, Le Sauveur’s chief chocolatier; Eiji Okuda plays Kenji Kuroiwa, the owner of Le Sauveur; and Koichi Sato as Shuntaro Fujiwara, Sosuke’s father and the chairman of Futago Confectionery.
The series debuts on October 16.
