Netflix debuts trailer for BL manga film adaptation ‘10Dance', shot in Japan, UK

Starring Keita Machida and Ryoma Takeuchi, production took place in Japan and the UK at Ringside Studios, with UK services provided by Tetra.

Netflix has revealed the official trailer for 10Dance, a live-action film based on the manga of the same name by Inoue Satoh and directed by Keishi Otomo.

Otomo is known for his work on the live-action Rurouni Kenshin movies. The film stars Ryoma Takeuchi (Roppongi Class, Black Pean) and Keita Machida (Yu Yu Hakusho, Glass Heart).

Production took place in Japan and in the UK at Ringside Studios with in-house services provide by Tetra, the production service company led by Tokyo Vice producer Alex Boden. 

The story follows two professional dancers who team up to participate in a competition called 10-Dance. As they work together, romantic feelings begin to surface.

Produced by Episcope (The Young Strangers), the executive producer is Yoshihiro Sato (Baragaki Unbroken Samurai) and producers are Takako Miyauchi (Youkai Housemate Is He Prince Charming?) and Kota Ishizuka (Cyclops).

The screenplay is by Tomoko Yoshida and Otomo, with cinematography from Tatsunosuke Sasaki and production design by Eri Sakushima and Takuro Kato.

Further production creatives include supervising character and costume design from Isao Tsuge, lighting by Gaku Suzuki, editing by Tomomi Kikuchi, sound design by Kazuyuki Ishii, sound recording by Takeshi Kawamata, the VFX supervisor is Tetsuya Shiraishi, casting by Mai Sugiyama, ballroom dance supervisor is Ai Shimoda, and line producer is Tomo Koizumi.
