‘Bridgerton' series five begins filming in UK for Netflix

Locations include London and Bath.

The fifth series of Netflix's Bridgerton has begun filming in the UK.

Production on the Regency era romance is taking place at Shepperton Studios and various locations in London.

Jess Bronwell is the showrunner for the fifth series which will follow middle daughter Francesa (Hannah Dodd) as she prepares to re-enter the marriage market two years after losing her husband. Masali Baduza also stars as Francesca's late husband’s cousin, with whom she begins developing feelings. 

Bridgerton is produced by Shondaland with executive producers Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica and Chris Van Dusen.  

The series is set in London’s Mayfair but frequently uses locations including the Royal Crescent in Bath and  Ranger’s House in Greenwich which is shot as the home of the titular Bridgerton family. In the past, further locations have included Castle Howard in Yorkshire, Belton House in Lincolnshire and Wrest Park in Bedfordshire.
