Chris Pine joins cast of Zellner brothers' 'Alpha Gang' as production wraps

Alpha Gang has wrapped production, and confirmed the addition of Chris Pine, Lily-Rose Depp, Kelvin Harrison Jr, and Bae Doona to the cast.

Filming took place in Hungary, with production services provided by The Royal Budapest Film Co.

Previously announced to star in the alien invasion comedy are Cate Blanchett, Léa Seydoux, Dave Bautista, and Riley Keough. 

The film story follows a group of alien invaders sent to conquer Earth disguised in human form as a 1950s leather-clad biker gang. They are ruthless in their mission until they succumb to the most toxic and contagious human condition of all, namely emotions. 

The Zellner brothers are producing for ZBi with Blanchett and Coco Francini for Dirty Films, Gina Gammell for Felix Culpa, Ryan Zacarias for Fat City, Mary Aloe for Aloe Entertainment Andrea Bucko for Sugar Rush Pictures, and Joshua Harris for Peachtree Media Partners.

mk2 films is repping international sales, having launched pre-sales last year at the AFM, with CAA Media Finance representing North American distribution rights.
