Netflix's 'Grown Ups' begins production in Dublin as cast revealed

Netflix's Grown Ups, based on the Marian Keyes' novel of the same name, has begun production in and around Dublin, Ireland.

The cast, revealed today, includes Sarah Greene, Barry Ward, Aisling Bea, Robert Sheehan, Amy-Leigh Hickman, Adrian Dunbar, Sinéad Cusack, Karin Hanczewski, James Agnew and Katelyn Rose Downey. James Griffiths and Ciaran Donnelly direct the eight part series. 

The story follows the close-knight Casey clan in the year after their lives are thrown into chaos after the family ‘good son’ dies unexpectedly. 

Gown Ups is produced by See-Saw Films and Picking Scabs, written and created by Samantha Strauss, whose credits include Apple Cider Vinegar. Strauss executive produces alongside Helen Gregory, Andy Noble, Shay Spencer, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Liz Watts, Marian Keyes and James Griffiths.

Simon Gillis is co-executive producer, and Liz Gill is the series producer, and Manda Levin, Henrietta Lee and Mona Qureshi oversee for Netflix.
