HBO series 'Task' season two granted highest Pennsylvania tax credit

HBO's Task season two has been awarded a $49.8m tax credit from the Pennsylvania Film Commission.

According to the film office, HBO says the production will create approximately 3,700 jobs and add more than $194 million to the economy.

The crime drama is set in the Philadelphia area and was created by Mare Of Easttown's Brad Inglesby. Mark Ruffalo returns to star as FBI agent Tom Brandis.

Pennsylvania's Film Production Tax Credit Programme offers a 25 to 30 percent tax credit to productions that spend at least 60 percent of their total budget in Pennsylvania. To be eligible, projects must be a feature film, a television film, a television talk or game show series, a television commercial, a television pilot, or each episode of a television series intended as programming for a national audience.
