After reports that Gladiator director Ridley Scott had set his Bee Gees biopic on the back-burner due to disputes with Paramount, the film is back on with production scheduled for November.
In an interview with Collider, Scott confirmed that Paramount Pictures was still on board to distribute. "I think so. That's what I dare say," Scott said.
Scott is in production on 'The Dog Stars', which filmed at Rome-based studio Cinecittà and on location across Italy.
Scott is also set to produce the Bee Gees' film along with Graham King of GK Films, Michael Pruss for Scott Free and Stacey Snider. Barry Gibb, the last surviving member of the group, will serve as executive producer.
The script is from John Logan, who wrote Scott’s classic Gladiator, as well as Martin Scorsese’s Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator and James Bond entries Skyfall and Spectre.
